Using Halal Food Circle

Halal Food Circle helps people discover food and review the evidence available about listings. It is not a halal certification body. A business statement, community report and reviewed certificate are different evidence types. Check the stated scope, dates and current arrangements with the business before buying. Venue availability, menus, ingredients and practices can change.

Halal information

We work hard to keep listings accurate. Details come from publicly available sources, the businesses themselves and community reports, and halal status can change at any time. Please confirm with the venue or product label before you buy. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem on the listing or contact us.

Early access and lifetime membership

During our early-access period every feature is free. Anyone who creates an account during this period becomes a lifetime member: you keep free access to every standard feature for as long as the service runs, including standard features we add later, and you will not be asked to pay for Plus. Lifetime membership is personal to your account and cannot be transferred. Some future features may carry a direct cost to us each time they are used (for example paid third-party data, AI or messaging services); these may be offered as optional paid add-ons or with fair-use limits, and they are not part of the lifetime standard features. We will always tell you before anything is charged. Lifetime access can be withdrawn only for misuse of the service under these terms.

Who can use Halal Food Circle

You can browse without an account. To create an account you must be 16 or older, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission. You confirm this when you sign up.

Accounts and contributions

Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate information. Submit only material you are entitled to share. You give us permission to review and display your submitted listing information as part of this service. Do not submit misleading claims, spam, unlawful material or private personal details. We may correct or remove content and restrict accounts that misuse the service.

Plus membership

Plus is not charged during early access. When paid plans open for new members, Plus costs A$20 plus GST (A$22 including GST) per year and renews annually through Stripe unless you cancel renewal. Stripe issues a tax invoice showing the GST. The amount, the yearly renewal and how to cancel are shown next to the Subscribe button and on the Stripe checkout page before you pay. We email you about 7 days before each renewal. You can cancel renewal online at any time from your membership page. Membership starts after payment confirmation. Complimentary access does not create a charge or subscription. Paid access does not change a listing’s evidence status or guarantee particular offers.

Reporting content and removal requests

If you think something on Halal Food Circle is wrong, unlawful, or uses your copyright or other rights without permission, use Report a problem on the listing or contact us through contact form or support@halalfoodcircle.com.au. Include the page link, what the problem is, and, for copyright, the work you own and how to reach you. We review every request, remove or correct material where appropriate, and may close accounts that repeatedly submit material they have no right to share.

Cancellation and help

Use Manage billing & cancellation in your membership page to manage your subscription, or contact us through contact form or support@halalfoodcircle.com.au. Cancelling renewal leaves access available for the remainder of the paid period unless a refund or another agreed remedy changes that period. For a payment error, service problem or refund request, include your account email and describe the issue.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Refunds and other remedies are available where required by law. We assess other refund requests based on the circumstances. See the ACCC’s consumer guidance.

External services and updates

Businesses listed here, external websites, Google, map providers and Stripe operate their own services. Check their terms where relevant. We may update features and these terms; material membership changes will be communicated before they affect renewal.
