Halal restaurant discovery across Australia
Discover incredible halal restaurants, explore Australia’s diverse food culture, and find places to eat with the information you need to make confident choices.
Discover restaurants. Explore cuisines. Check halal information.
Featured from the catalogue
Chosen automatically from our records: the business itself has declared it halal, it is mapped, and it has the most community reports. Nobody pays to appear here.
Follow your cravings
Every tile opens real listings for that cuisine, with the count taken straight from the catalogue.
Good food is closer than you think
Each gold dot is a mapped listing in the catalogue. Pick a state or territory to see where halal food is listed, suburb by suburb.
Halal verification & trust
Every listing shows what is actually known about its halal status, and where that comes from. Halal Food Circle is a discovery guide, not a certifying authority.
A reviewer has checked a current certificate for that exact branch: issuer, certificate number, scope and expiry. Expired or disputed certificates lose this badge.
–At least 10 independent members have current, reviewed acknowledgements. This is community evidence, not certification.
–The business itself says it is halal, in a statement we can point to. It is not a reviewed certificate.
–Public sources or members say it is halal. Each source counts once. Confirm with the venue before you order.
–Evidence is incomplete, stale or disputed. We never guess halal status from a name, cuisine or menu photo.

Get found by halal-conscious diners across Australia, with information they can trust.
Every submission is reviewed before anything is published. A submission never creates a verified status on its own.
Community contribution
Your local knowledge makes the guide better for everyone. Every contribution goes through review before it changes a listing.

KNOW WHAT’S BEHIND THE BADGE
Halal certified — a reviewed certificate with an issuer, scope and expiry.
Community verified — at least 10 eligible, current acknowledgements. Community evidence, not certification.
Community reported — public sources (online reviews, social posts, public listings) or members say it is halal. Each source counts once.

Share the exact place, dish or pack and what you checked. Every finding gets a review.
Approved findings earn 10 leaderboard points. Acknowledgements help establish community evidence; they are not a race for points.

CHECK THE EXACT PRODUCT
Match the barcode, then check the product, pack size and evidence. A barcode identifies a product; it does not certify it as halal.
Supports GTIN-8, UPC-12, EAN-13 and GTIN-14. Keep any leading zeros.
Halal Food Circle ADMIN
CLARITY COMES FIRST
Halal Food Circle helps you discover restaurants, dishes and groceries. A listing is a starting point; its badge tells you which evidence is currently supported.
Halal certified: a reviewer has checked a certificate for the named branch or exact product. The issuer, certificate identifier, scope and expiry are available in the listing. Expired or disputed evidence loses the certified badge.
Community verified: at least 10 distinct eligible accounts have current, reviewed acknowledgements for the same listing. This is community evidence and does not create halal certification.
Community reported: public sources (online reviews, social posts, public listings, the business’s own pages) or members say the listing is halal. Each source counts as one report. The count includes pending member reports and is not certification.
Business declared: an attributable business or product statement supports the claim. It is not a reviewed current certificate.
Under review: evidence is incomplete, stale or disputed. We do not infer halal status from a venue name, cuisine or menu photo.
Share what you checked, your observation date and any connection to the business. One current acknowledgement is counted per signed-in account and exact listing. Acknowledgements expire after 180 days. Affiliated reports may be retained but cannot contribute to the 10-account threshold.
Reviewers check evidence and independence before an acknowledgement becomes eligible. Copying the same claim does not make it independent. Open concerns put the listing under review and stop community promotion until resolved. Admins can pause automatic community verification.
Each approved finding earns 10 points. Pending, rejected and withdrawn submissions earn none. Acknowledgement volume does not earn leaderboard points. Public participation is optional and uses your chosen display name. Your approval rate shows reviewed outcomes, not religious authority.
Live location starts only when you choose it. Your coordinates stay in browser memory for that session and are not stored in your account. Stop sharing at any time. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, which receives requests for the viewed area. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.
Account details, saves and submissions are stored for your account. Evidence attachments are restricted to their contributor and authorised administrators. The public leaderboard never exposes email addresses. Sign in with your email and password.
Grocery entries do not establish live local stock or certify an entire retailer. Check the exact pack and manufacturer label. Restaurant scope can differ by branch, supplier, dish and preparation method.

MAKE A MEAL OF IT
Check the venue, dates and terms before you redeem. A promotion does not change a listing’s halal evidence.
FROM PACK TO PROCESSOR
Find the establishment behind a meat label. Its number identifies a facility; it does not certify the pack as halal.
Register snapshot checked 20 September 2026. This combines the existing register snapshot and imported research. It is not a complete national meat or poultry register. No match does not mean not halal.
